About the test
The Canadian citizenship test is required of most applicants for Canadian citizenship aged 18 to 54. It's administered by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), either in person at an IRCC office or online through a proctored video session.
The test has 20 questions, either multiple choice or true or false, and you have 45 minutes to complete it. You need at least 15 of the 20 questions right (75%) to pass, and you get up to three attempts. Every question is based on the official study guide, Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship.
